HOLA Member Bochinche

Bochinche refers to “gossip”. In this sense, we use it to mention HOLA members or Friends of HOLA who are getting acting, performance or similarly artistic gigs and/or recognition in the media. The names of HOLA members and Friends of HOLA are listed below in boldface. To see what other HOLA members are doing currently, click here.

Gabe Hernández, shown at right, was cast in the short film Negrón (written by Eugene Michael Santiago and directed by Christopher D. Santiago) after Hernández saw the casting notice in the daily announcements HOLA sends to its members and self-submitted. For more information about the film, click here.

A.B. Lugo will be co-starring in the William Shakespeare play The Merchant of Venice. Directed by Alberto Bonilla, the production will take place in September at The Secret Theatre in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens. For more information on the production, click here.

Javier E. Gómez acted in a national Spanish-language Liberty Mutual commercial.

Luis Galli was featured in the Peruvian newspaper El Comercio, where he spoke of his work as producer and one of the stars of the television series "Tradiciones de Ricardo Palma". Based on the writings of Peruvian writer Palma, the historical drama series premiered in June in 25 countries (including the United States of America, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Spain). In the United States, the series can be seen on ETWN. To read the article, which is in Spanish, click on the image at left.
